William Henry III, son of William Henry Jr. was trainen in the gunsmithing trade by his father. The Henry family were famous for over one hundred years. About 1808 William Henry Jr. was looking around for a better supply, he found a place along the Bushkill Creek. Henry Jr . sent his son, William Ill to the new site, where the Bolton Gun Works was then established, At this location, under the founder's son, grandson, and great-grandson rifles were manufactured for almost a century.
